Cornice, Stairs and Doors

Ducked in yesterday to see if any work had been done inside during the week as things have been fairly quiet. I managed to get a few pathetic photos as the light was fading. Will get some more this afternoon and post later today. The cornice upstairs has been done (from what I could see).

Cornice Upstairs (Looking from the Ground Floor)

The stairs have started!!! We have opted for the deluxe staircase. I was kind of hoping it would be one of the last items to be put in, but it's probably a bit much to ask all trades to use a ladder for the build!  The base work/ framework for this was done yesterday and the stairs themselves had been delivered. They look amazing!! I ran my hand over the them and got a whopping big splinter jammed in...... but other than that they look great!!! Hope they put some serious protection down once they are finished. They will be stained in Walnut.
